DeKalb Released Mugshot Records
A mugshot, also called a booking photograph, is made during a booking or custody process. It shows that an image was associated with that process. It does not prove guilt, conviction, present incarceration, or the reason the person later left custody. A DeKalb County arrest commonly leads to the Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail in Pattonsburg, so that jail is the first custodian to identify.
Missouri law treats arrest and incident records under chapter 610, but not every item in a law-enforcement file is automatically open. Section 610.100 addresses arrest reports and closed-record conditions. Investigative material, juvenile information, medical material, security information, and closed or expunged records may be withheld. A booking image should be requested as its own record item, and a denial should cite the legal basis.
An old image can remain outside the live roster after release. The jail publishes no photo-retention period, no dedicated mugshot gallery, and no 24-hour or 72-hour photo archive. Online absence does not prove that the official image was destroyed. Ask the custodian which record remains for the specific booking.
Find DeKalb Released Booking Photos
The correct channel depends on where the person was held. County jail, state prison, notification, court, and news systems answer different questions. The image must be matched to the agency and date before it is treated as the sought record.
| Channel | Has photo? | How to access it |
|---|---|---|
| Daviess/DeKalb JailTracker | Booking-detail image controls may appear. | Search a known name through the jail-linked dynamic client; no retention period is promised. |
| Regional-jail records request | May provide a releasable booking photograph. | Identify the booking number or date and ask for the photo in electronic form. |
| DeKalb County Sheriff | May hold its own arrest or incident records. | Ask only for records created or held by the Sheriff; physical booking is handled at the regional jail. |
| MODOC record | An offender photo may be releasable. | Use MODOC for state custody, not as a substitute for the regional-jail booking image. |
| MOVANS | A custody record may include identifying information. | Use it for current status and notice, then confirm the original image with the reporting custodian. |
| Local news | Some reports carry a jail-attributed image. | Treat the story as a dated lead and verify custody and disposition through official records. |
| Commercial aggregators | Images may be republished. | Do not rely on them as the factual source; records can be stale, misidentified, or tied to another state. |
JailTracker is the most direct online discovery point for a regional-jail image, but it is still a general booking search. No dedicated recent-release photo feed was found. A person can stop appearing online while the jail retains a record, or an old booking can remain visible after the person is no longer held.
DeKalb JailTracker Photo Search
The regional jail’s official Resources page links “Detainee Search” to the Daviess/DeKalb JailTracker. Historical interface records show First Name and Last Name fields, booking and release date labels, and detail controls for larger or original images. Dynamic availability can vary, and the tool may display a loading or browser error.
- Search the exact first and last name, then compare the booking date and other lawful matching facts. Do not select a record by name alone.
- Open the booking detail and record the booking date, arresting agency, court, case, and status labels that identify the event.
- Check whether a larger or original image control is present. Do not assume every old booking or released person will still display a photo.
- Read “Sched Release” as a projection and “Date Released” as a completed booking field. Neither label changes what the photo proves.
- Confirm the custody event with the regional jail and the legal outcome in Case.net before relying on an old image caption.
The photo is tied to that regional-jail booking. If the same person later entered Crossroads Correctional Center, a MODOC image would be a separate state-custody record. Keep the two source labels and dates distinct.
Request a DeKalb Booking Photo
Send the request to the agency that holds the image. For a Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail booking, begin with the jail at 102 North Meadows Lane, Pattonsburg, MO 64670, phone 660-367-2200. Ask staff for the current Sunshine custodian and accepted delivery method. The jail does not publish a booking-photo request form or a fixed per-photo fee.
- Identify the person and the correct booking with a booking number, case number, booking date, or other lawful matching facts.
- Ask for “the releasable booking photograph tied to that booking” as a separate item. Request an electronic copy.
- Ask for the booking and release timestamps, arresting or committing agency, case number, and release type or destination so the image has context.
- Request an itemized estimate before costs exceed a chosen cap. Missouri law permits certain copy, research, and format costs.
- If any part is closed, ask for the specific legal citation and all reasonably separable open portions.
Section 610.023 requires a public body to act as soon as possible and by the end of the third business day. It may provide access or explain the delay and the earliest available date and time. The rule governs response, not guaranteed final delivery. Section 610.026 governs allowable fees.
The Sheriff should be copied only when its own arrest, transport, or incident record is sought. Sheriff Kasey Keesaman’s official page lists 816-449-5802 and weekday business hours. The Sheriff does not operate the physical regional-jail booking system.
DeKalb MODOC Photo Records
A person held at Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron belongs to the Missouri Department of Corrections system. MODOC Offender Search covers people who are currently incarcerated or under supervision. Someone released from prison to parole or conditional release may still appear because supervision remains active. A fully discharged person may not.
After final discharge, use the MODOC Sunshine database and custodian list. Its nightly file includes people who are or have been under department supervision. Ask whether a releasable offender photograph is available with the requested record. A MODOC photo documents state custody and does not necessarily reproduce the earlier Pattonsburg booking image.
Current assignment also matters. A field-office assignment means community supervision, not incarceration in that office. A correctional-center assignment indicates prison custody. A move between MODOC facilities is a transfer, not release to the community.
DeKalb Mugshot App Confusion
No official DeKalb County, Missouri sheriff or Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail mobile app advertising inmate photos was identified. Search engines mix DeKalb County results from Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, and Indiana with Missouri results. An app from one of those jurisdictions cannot supply an authentic Pattonsburg booking record.
Check for “MO,” the Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail name, and the jail’s official 660-367-2200 phone number before trusting an app claim. The official local sites contain no inmate-app link. Missouri MOVANS is the current state notification service, but notification status does not replace the image held by the booking agency.
This same-name problem is especially risky for photos. A face, name, and county label can look plausible while belonging to a different state or a different person. The official booking number, agency, date, and case are the needed match points.
DeKalb Mugshots in Local News
Northwest Missouri outlet KTTN often reports regional arrests and court events. Some stories include an image attributed to the Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail. Such a report may help locate the booking date, arresting agency, charge, or court case.
A story captures what was reported at publication. It is not proof of current custody, release, conviction, or final disposition. The image may continue to circulate after dismissal, acquittal, expungement, discharge, or another change. Match the story to the jail record and Missouri Case.net, then use the current public disposition where available.
Commercial mugshot pages are weaker. They may be stale, copied without later corrections, assigned to a same-name person, or tied to another DeKalb County. They can be recognized as a discovery category, but they should not be endorsed or linked as the factual foundation.
Note: A photo caption identifies a claimed source at one moment; it does not establish that the photographed person remains in custody.
Context for DeKalb Mugshots
Pair the image with a record that explains the event. The jail record establishes the booking and physical exit. The court record can show bond, dismissal, plea, verdict, sentence, jail credit, probation, or commitment to MODOC. A court order may authorize release before the jail finishes processing, so the docket is not always the door-out timestamp.
- Booking
- The intake event during which the jail creates the custody record and may take a photograph.
- Disposition
- The court’s outcome for a charge or case, which can differ from the initial allegation.
- Transfer
- A handoff to another custodian, not proof that the person entered the community.
- Expungement
- A court process that can close qualifying records when Missouri statutory requirements are met.
A regional facility can hold people for several jurisdictions. Being photographed at Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail does not prove the case belongs to DeKalb County. Follow the committing agency and case number. For the full named-person custody route, use the DeKalb County released inmate lookup.
DeKalb Mugshot Removal Rules
Missouri section 407.1150 prohibits a publisher or disseminator from soliciting or accepting payment from the photographed person to remove or correct Missouri booking-photo or criminal-record information. The law is not a ban on publication, and it does not force an agency to post or disclose every image.
Missouri expungement under section 610.140 can close qualifying arrest, plea, trial, or conviction records after its conditions are met. Eligibility depends on the offense, disposition, elapsed time, pending charges, completed obligations, and statutory exclusions. A court order may limit public display, but it does not mean every separately held copy vanishes without action. The order must reach the relevant record holder.
For an official image, send the custodian the correction basis, exact record, and any applicable court order. Ask for the agency’s written correction or removal process. For a news publisher, use its correction policy and provide the current primary disposition. Do not pay a commercial removal service or assume it can alter the government source.
